Prerequisite(s): CJ 1010 , ENGL 2010 , and University Advanced Standing Presents historical, economic, social, and political roles of legal and illegal drugs. Explains the drug contribution to crime and the impact that drugs have on the criminal justice system. Compares drug production and distribution systems. Illustrates efforts to combat the drug epidemic including decriminalization, prevention, and treatment.
