Prerequisite(s): CHIN 3050 and University Advanced Standing Offers Medical Chinese, Legal Chinese, Chinese for Science and Technology, or Chinese for Tourism according to student demand. Focuses on the practical needs of students who seek careers in the applicable areas. Addresses the specialized vocabulary and communicative ability necessary for a professional in a bilingual English-Chinese or monolingual Chinese environment. Introduces interpretation in professional situations. May be repeated for a maximum of 6 credits toward graduation with different topics.
