Prerequisite(s): CHIN 4050 and University Advanced Standing Introduces translation as a discipline. Discusses basic theory, principles and tools of translation. Employs the tools of translation: dictionaries, glossaries, grammars and computerized resources. Extensive practice of translation and interpretation from English to Chinese and from Chinese to English.
