Prerequisite(s): BIOL 1610 or BIOL 1610H with a minimum grade of C- and University Advanced Standing Teaches the principles of Developmental Biology with a focus on the specialization of cells and their organization into body plans. Examines key model organisms and experimental strategies used to understand invertebrate and vertebrate development. Uses hands-on activities to explore gene networks, cell fate determination, and developmental patterning. Investigates current research trends to analyze how developmental processes relate to human health and disease. Provides essential knowledge for Biology majors interested in developmental biology and cellular specialization.
