This course provides foundational knowledge and advanced readings in linguistics, language acquisition, psycho-linguistics, sociolinguistics, pragmatics, and semiotics as well as readings on race, class, and culture relevant to literacy content knowledge for those preparing to become researchers/faculty in literacy education.
