This course focuses on the advanced generalist skills in clinical assessment and diagnosis using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5TR). It also takes a critical look at DSM diagnosis in light of social work’s commitment to person-in-environment, diversity and inclusion, and strengths perspectives.
