Synoptic Meteorology

Catalog description

In this course students apply the theory behind dynamic meteorology concepts governing the large-scale motions of the mid-latitude atmosphere. Theoretical concepts are paired with real-world weather map analysis lessons to introduce forecasting and interpretation techniques while reinforcing numerical concepts. Additional coursework is required for those enrolled in the graduate-level course.
