Catalog description

Basic ideas and techniques for analyzing nonlinear equations and the foundations of applied dynamical systems. Topics include discrete and continuous models, equilibria and limit cycles, stability, bifurcation of solutions, and phase space analysis, as well as physical and biological applications. Additional coursework is required for those enrolled in the graduate-level course.
