Catalog description

The course examines media rights of free expression and both the history and applicability of First Amendment protections. The course discusses the structure and functioning of the U.S. court system, defamation, trademark, copyright, access to information, and other related topics. Additional coursework is required for those enrolled in the graduate-level course.
