Catalog description

This course introduces policies, laws, institutions, and practices guiding western water allocation, emphasizing how to efficiently and equitably allocate increasingly scarce supplies. Students explore reserved water rights, water markets, stream adjudication, public trust doctrine, basin-wide management, and riparian management. Additional coursework is required for those enrolled in the graduate-level course.
