Teaching Creative Writing

Catalog description

This course will familiarize students with many aspects of designing and implementing multi-genre creative writing workshops at the middle school, high school, and community-education levels. To that end, the course will address two topics: subject matter (principles of effective fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, and dramatic writing) and pedagogy (principles of good teaching).
