This course explores the ways the earth sciences are employed in archaeological analysis. Topics include: sedimentology, pedology, geomorphology, paleoclimatology, geophysical methods of dating archaeological materials, artifact and materials sourcing, and modeling environment-human interaction. Additional coursework is required for those enrolled in the graduate-level course..
