Catalog description

This course reviews theories of animal-assisted interventions (AAI) and specific therapeutic techniques as they apply to various special populations. Animal selection, program outcomes, and best practice approaches for developing and evaluating AAI programs are examined. Additional coursework is required for those enrolled in the graduate-level course.
