Scientific method in sociological research; learn to construct and evaluate data-based arguments; topics include the nature of evidence, research design, principles and techniques of sampling, data collection and interpretation. (Lec. 3) Pre: Two 100-200 level SOC courses, open only to SOC and CCJ majors, or permission of instructor. Students may not take SOC 301 and SOC 440.
