(3 crs.) This course introduces the student to the U.S. health care system, and explores how cost, quality and access dynamics impact patients and other stakeholders. Students will learn the role federal and state government as well as public health programs and advocacy have had in shaping delivery and programs impacting the health of Americans across socioeconomic demographics. (Lec. 3/Online) Pre: Intended for freshmen and sophomores. Not for program credit for pharmacy majors in the third year or beyond. (A2) (C1)
