(3 crs.) Purposes and means of assessment and evaluation of elementary and middle school children will be critically analyzed. Types of formative and summative assessments will be examined. Use of assessment and evaluation in determining student progress and to inform instruction. Assessment and Evaluation in the context of curriculum and student learning standards in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. (Seminar) Pre: Acceptance into the elementary education program. Concurrent enrollment in EDC423, EDC453 and EDC454. Not for graduate credit.
