Catalog description

Analysis of contemporary assumptions, theories, and practices related to design, planning, development, and evaluation of curriculum in physical education. Discussion of professional standards, and assessment as part of curriculum design. Analysis of curriculum design as a mean to promote students learning and to improve teaching practices in physical education. Evaluation of different models for curriculum evaluation in physical education. As part of the course, students will plan, design, evaluate, and research a curriculum in physical education for primary, secondary or college level.
