Catalog description

Introductory course on the acoustic nature of speech. Orientation to the use of basic instrumentation to take acoustic measurement and their analysis. Incudes the discussion on information and theories related to normal speech and hearing processes and how it relates to various communication disorders. The science of speech - language pathology and audiology is presented as precursors to evidence -based practice.
