Discussion of a variety of qualitative and quantitative research designs and methods used in the field of psychology. As a core course, it allows the graduate student to begin to conceptualize, clarify, and refine their research topic and objectives or research questions. The course assesses research topics and techniques to help students select specific methods and strategies for application and in -depth study. It encourages students to critically read and evaluate research reports and scholarly articles. Emphasis is placed on the inference of concepts, theories and descriptive and inferential information of r esearch products promoting decision -making with importance on the analysis of diversity and culture. It allows the analysis of communication skills and personal relationships, ethical, legal, and professional practice supported using technology. At the end of the course, students should have produced a review of scientific literature related to a topic of interest in psychology. .
