ADULT ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY PRACTICE IN LABORATORY

Catalog description

The course prepares students to perform cardiac studies using different sonographic modalities. In the laboratory, the student will acquire the necessary skills to evaluate the adult heart and distinguish its anatomy and physiology. Through cardiac images, different calculations and measurements can be carried out to determine a normal study or the presence of abnormalities or conditions that may affect the heart. This course meets 45 hours of laboratory in one semester.
