Catalog description

Building upon the skills acquired in Clinical Experience I, this second clinical experience challenges students to take on increased responsibility in patient care within their designated healthcare setting. Students continue to use the CIET to assess their progress, aiming to demonstrate clear improvement in clinical performance and moving closer to entry-level competency or beyond. They refine their skills in the design and implementation of evidence -based care plans, perform physical therapist interventions, and adjust care plans based on patient responses. The CIET guides them to enhance their abilities to educate patients and caregivers, supervise support personnel, and maintain accurate and timely documentation. The ability to identify the need for further examination or referral, and to report suspected cases of abuse/neglect, is emphasized, ensuring comprehensive and ethical patient care.
