Catalog description
In this course, the student will develop their dissertation proposal and develop content until the end of their doctoral dissertation. This dissertation may be quantitative, qualitative or mixed, depending on the student's preference and mastery of the selected methodology. The student must select a problem based on the vulnerable population of interest where he/she will specialize. It is designed to produce a complete dissertation that includes the results of the data search, the conclusions, any chapter edits. It facilitates the development of competencies related to advanced knowledge in nursing science, evidence -based res earch and practice, and health care technologies. In this course, students are expected to complete their doctoral dissertation in writing and defend their proposal orally in front of their colleagues, course professor and thesis supervisor. It facilitates the development of competencies related to advanced knowledge in nursing science, research and evidence -based practice, and health care information and technologies. It requires 60 hours of theory. In case of not completing their dissertation, the student will repeat the course up to a maximum of 6 semesters.
