Catalog description
This course prepares the leading nursing professional to examine the policies and social forces that give strength to advanced practice and the specialty in nursing and nursing sciences. Analyze and examine the agenda of the health care environment and its policies. They examine the relationship that nursing has in the organization of health systems, financing, regulation, ethics and provision of services in a pluralistic and globalized society. Students will focus on the process of developing policies and regulations and how they affect nursing a s a profession. It facilitates the development of competencies related to advance knowledge for nursing science, prevention and health promotion, quality improvement and safety, advanced care for vulnerable groups and public health policy.
