PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT, PROTOTYPING AND IDEA VALIDATION

Three credit-hours. Three hours of lecture per week. Students will determine the technical and business feasibility of their ideas and use this information to make decisions crucial for their development. Using the customer and market feedback gathered, they will use agile development to rapidly iterate their product. The course will explore prototyping processes from initial process flow and sketching to prototype development. Students will apply techniques to build prototypes needed to validate the idea. Participants will work in focused teams to complete hands-on validation activities through instruction, exercises, and scenarios. In addition, students will use their communication skills to pitch investors.
