PRACTICUM IN EVENTS

Catalog description

Practicum related to the special events industry. The student will work a total of 350 hours in any area within the events industry. The practicum can take place within the context of event planning and production, as well as in event venues or another related industry supplier. The practicum location will be selected from a list of approved centers by the student and practicum coordinator. The course requires attendance to an 8 - hour professional seminar provided by the practicum coordinator. At tendance to this seminar is mandatory for the successful completion of this course. Critical thinking, communication, technology, information skills, and ethics and diversity competencies are developed through exposing the student to a real live work setti ng.
