CORE STUDIO: CONCEPT AND REALIZATION I

Catalog description

The course focuses on the design and technology used for custom made garments. The student will be introduced to global trends, construction techniques, ornamentation and textile manipulation in the haute couture industry. As a final project, a collection will be designed and one of the desig ns will be made, which involves the selection of materials according to the philosophies of the haute couture industry, draping, pattern making and the construction of toiles and garment. In this course, they will continue to develop oral and visual presentation skills that allow them to clearly express their ideas and concepts.
