Catalog description

In this introductory course of drawing for fashion design, the student will focus on developing a female, male, and children croqui or fashion figure based on the proportions used in the industry. Complete croquis will be illustrated that will include face s, hair, hands, and feet. Through the use of images, the student will develop the skills of representing the body at rest and in motion. The student will have the opportunity to learn how to use markers and watercolors as coloring techniques with lights and shadows. By understanding the standard measurements in the fashion industry, students will be able to modify them to achieve illustrations that represent an individual aesthetic.
