Catalog description
This laboratory course provides the student with the theoretical concepts and practical skills of the different types of existing electrical control systems. The concepts of magnetic systems and automatic controls are analyzed. Topics address the principles of operation, selection, and specifications of the various electrical controls. Different control components are used such as: magnetic, contactors, timers and counters, programmable logic controllers and others. Apply safety rules and codes. Students will develop competencies in scientific reasoning that applies to this technical area.
