Catalog description

This course introduces the basic concepts of electrical circuits and power. The student will have the opportunity to learn and apply knowledge of electrical safety, Ohm's Law, Kirchhoff's Law, resistance, capacitive and inductive circuits, magnetism and el ectromagnetism. In addition, they will be studied: the transformers, the three -phase electrical system and the power factor. Students will develop competencies in scientific reasoning and electrical design that are required in electrical circuits commonly found in the field of technology.
