Catalog description

This course studies the phonetic system of the English language and the identification of the organs used in the production of sounds. The International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) is used in discussing the consonant and vowel systems. Techniques and methods u sed to correct deficiencies in pronunciation are essential part of this course. This course is required for teacher candidates in the TESL program. Due to the complexity of this course, it should not be offered as an independent study course
