EETE 225
INTRODUCTION TO EMBEDDED SYSTEMS
Universidad Ana G. Méndez-Gurabo Campus · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
The student will study, among others, number systems, radix conversion and binary codes. Analysis, design, and synthesis of combinational logic and sequential logic circuits, ADCs, DACs, RAM, ROM within applications. This course also teaches the basic principles of process or-based systems using microprocessors and microcontroller devices. It introduces x86 family and architecture, and programming in assembly, machine, and C language based on embedded systems. Computer systems, I/O peripherals, software/hardware Interfacing, and hardware development is also focused on. This course will be based on demonstrations, schematic interpretation, lectures, case analysis and responsible use of technology. EETE 225L LAB INTRODUCTION TO EMBEDDED SYSTEMS 1 CREDIT The student will implement, design, test and troubleshoot digital systems involving combinational logic and sequential logic circuits, ADCs, DACs, RAM, ROM within applications. This lab also teaches the implementation of computing systems integrating microprocessors and mi crocontroller devices based on embedded systems. Single board computer (SOC) and controller systems, embedded programming, I/O peripherals, software/hardware Interfacing, and hardware development is also practiced in this lab. This course will be based on demonstrations, lecture and interpretation of schematics, and laboratory experiment and practice responsible use of technology.
