Catalog description

The purpose of this class is to further develop the communication skills of the students on client communication and conflict resolution or during difficult situations, as well as the elaboration of medical records and discharge instructions for the client. Furthermore, to educate veterinary stu dents on how to perform orthopedic exam, thoracic auscultation and evaluation of the eyes, ears and oral cavity. Also, students will learn bandaging techniques, proper positioning for radiographs, and monitoring of critically ill patients. Students will l earn some technical skills using simulations and others using live animals, through communication laboratories and small group projects.
