Catalog description

In the Pediatric Dentistry Clinic course, the students make their first clinical approach to pediatric patients with all the contemporary concepts for managing the oral health of infants, children, and adolescents. Learning activities for this third -year c ourse emphasize patient -centered comprehensive treatment planning that integrates relevant information derived from effective comprehensive patient examination with behavioral, clinical, and biomedical sciences knowledge and with ethical, legal, social, an d humanitarian principles. This initial course in the pediatric clinical courses series focuses on topics of restorative techniques, pulpal therapy in primary and mixed dentition, space maintenance, behavior management and local anesthesia techniques for patients at this stage of life.
