Catalog description

Construction Project Management covers the professional role in managing construction projects by providing an understanding of the people-related and technical requirements necessary for the successful management of projects and their organizational and strategic aspects. The course allows theoretical and conceptual exploration of construction project management issues, the construction process, and the roles, cl assification of construction projects, definition and implementation schedules of work, types of bonds, and insurance for a construction project, change orders and their impact on the completion time and additional costs of the project, and general conditi ons established in a construction contract. The course is designed to foster active learning and engagement with current and emerging issues in the construction industry. Through interactive learning and assessment activities, students are exposed to the d ynamic and challenging environment of contemporary civil engineering and construction projects, preparing them for the real experience in the field.
