The CHEM 365 course facilitates the student's development of research skills at the undergraduate level and awakens motivation for scientific endeavors in general. The undergraduate research course focuses on the participation of students in different line s of research and/or projects within the field of chemistry and related areas: organic synthesis, organic chemistry, biochemistry, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, electrochemistry, chemistry analytics, nanomaterials, among others, with application s in other fields such as physics, biomedicine, biology and environmental sciences. The student will participate in research project under the supervision of a mentor and collaborators. The mentor will meet regularly with the students to make research plans, evaluate risks associated with the assigned research or project, review results, and identify opportunities for poster and oral presentations. The student is encouraged to assume primary responsibility for the project and to make s ubstantial contributions using innovation in the search for solutions, conditions, improvements, viable alternatives or new procedures in the development of a research project in the search for sustainable results. .
