Catalog description

This course provides an in-depth introduction to plant biology, focusing on the structure, function, reproduction, and evolution of plants. Students will explore the major plant groups, including algae, bryophytes, pteridophytes, gymnosperms, and angiosperms, as well as the cellular, anatomical, and physiological aspects of plants. Topics such as plant taxonomy, photosynthesis, hormonal regulation, reproductive strategies, plant biotechnology, and conservation of nat ive and endemic species are covered with emphasis on their ecological and human relevance. The course consists of 45 hours of lectures and 45 hours of laboratory.
