THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE I LAB

Catalog description

Study of the basic techniques of therapeutic massage. It provides a general introduction to both the theory and practice of massage. Emphasis is placed on the development of knowledge and skills of anatomy and physiology, benefits and physiological effects of techniques that manipulate soft tissue, pathology, contraindications and body biomechanics. These competencies will be developed through demonstrations and practical exercises that will allow the student to know the ba sic manipulations of massage. In addition, the development of critical thinking, communication, ethics and diversity skills is facilitated.
