Catalog description
In this culminating third clinical experience, students are expected to demonstrate entry -level performance as a minimum and high level of proficiency in managing complex patient cases. They will showcase their abilities in interprofessional collaboration, leadership, and advanced clinical reasoning. The CIET continues to be a vital tool for self-assessment and reflection, helping students to identify areas of strength and areas requiring further development, with the goal of solidifying their performance a t entry -level competency or beyond. Students will refine skills in the design and implementation of comprehensive care plans, perform advanced physical therapist interventions, and adjust plans of care based on patient responses. They are expected to demonstrate a proficiency of financial and practice management concepts, as well as mastery in providing direct access patient care. Students are expected to actively seek out and integrate current evidence into their clinical decision -making processes, and demonstrate a commitment to evidence-based practice, critical thinking, and patient-centered care. This experience serves as a comprehensive demonstration of their readiness for professional practice, and ensures they are well - prepared to enter the field as doctorally prepared physical therapist upon graduation.
