This course offers the most actualized pharmacotherapeutic for prevention, treatment and heal of common diseases of our society. Emphasis is given to therapeutic classification, drug mechanism of action, drugs interactions, collateral and adverse effects a nd new drugs approved by federal agency Food Drug Administration. Special attention will be given to the pharmacotherapeutic cardiovascular, gastrointestinal and respiratory tract disease. PHOP 255 WATER PURIFICATION AND TREATMENT SYSTEMS IN PHARMACEUTICAL & CHEMICAL PROCESSES 3 CREDITS The course covers the major aspects related to high purity water systems in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Emphasis will be in equipment set -up and maintenance, multimedia filtration, chlorination, softening, carbon adsorption, filtration, distillation, storage and distribution, steam in place.
