In this course, the student evaluates and demonstrates intravenous supplements, according to the principles and philosophy of naturopathic medicine. Emphasis is placed on the preliminary evaluation by nutrition therapy, adequate formulation of isotonic and hypotonic solutions, management of anaphylaxis, hypoglycemic emergencies, prevention of peripheral catheterization embolism, in the insertion of the catheter.
