Catalog description

This course presents the bacterial nomenclature and pathogens in man. Developing skills for taking samples, handling and preservation is emphasized. Students will identify the morphological characteristics of pathogens and know the culture media used in the tests of identification. Biochemical and immunological microorganisms’ ideas importance of clinical and molecular tests for Identifying bacteria tests are performed. Discussion of molecular tests for the diagnosis of infectious diseases. The course consists of 60 hours of lecture and 36 hours of laboratory.
