PROBABILITY FOR ENGINEERS

Catalog description

Introductory course on probability and data analysis with emphasis on engineering and management applications. Fundamental concepts of variability and uncertainty. Probability theory and models. Joint probability distributions. Data analysis and synthesis. Random samples, central limit theorem, and sampling distributions. Use of computer software. Students will develop the critical thinking, quantitative reasoning, scientific reasoning, and technological skills, required for the analysis, design and decisio n making in engineering and management projects.
