This course explores the casino composition, its history, types of operation, security, marketing and playing techniques of the table games and slot machines. It will focus on the organizational structure, the rules, and basic operation procedures. Emphasi s is given to casino as an entertainment venue. The course will be developed with situational analysis, problem solution, theme discussions and simulations, linking theory with real world problems and solutions, and multidimensional teaching strategies to encourage the competences of management, customer service and innovation. This approach challenges students to identify the issues central to complex management problems, understand the structure of department resources, and harness those resources to solve problems in the workplace developing de competences of quantitative reasoning. Instruction is primarily textbook driven with accompanied online lectures and online classroom weekly discussions.
