QUALITY MANAGEMENT IN HEALTH SERVICES

During the course the student will integrate the essential concepts and processes of Quality Management into the evaluation of health services. The basics of quality management and their meanings in health services will be defined. Similarly, different approaches to quality management will be presented according to those interested in an institution, models and situations within a company, project or program. T he purpose is to train by educating on trends within health services in accordance with the regulations of compliance with state regulations of the Department of Health and at the federal level those of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) , among others. Skills to review and identify existing improvement measures in the assessment of health services from a perspective of Total Quality Management will be strengthened. The most important historical events of the quality movement will also be analyzed through a fact -gathering. It will also discuss how quality has impacted organizations, success factors, teamwork and customer satisfaction. Finally, they will discuss quality initiatives taken at the local and international levels to ensure quality of services in the health industry.
