PATTERNMAKING

Catalog description

This course focuses on pattern making for the manufacture of garment pieces. Students will make use of specific tools and techniques to make patterns of basic female pieces, according to defined measurements. Patterns will be developed for the skirt, bodice, sleeve and pant. The samples will be sewn in muslin to check the fit and final sizing. Using the developed patterns, the student will perform several transformations.
