TEXTILES

Catalog description

In this course, students acquire knowledge about textile materials in all their stages, from their initial form as fibers to their final phase as a product. They will learn about the origin, physical and chemical properties, construction, care, finishes, trends an d the use and application of textiles in the fashion industry. Laboratory sessions will be held where students will apply basic methods for design, textile manipulation, knitting, printing and dyeing techniques. Students will develop a portfolio of textile samples that will serve as a reference to understand their quality and appearance.
