Catalog description

Is an introductory course required for all engineering students. It examines the engineering historical development, areas of impact, application fields and the importance of coordination between career branches; all within the Technology as a fundamental element for the development of the human being. The course includes knowledge of their own career and that of other Engineers of different specialties. In addition, it contains elements typical of the industry such as manufacturing processes, an introducti on to Project Management, an overview of some basic certifications typical of the Engineering Industry, and the fundamental steps to follow for the development of a healthy technological project. In addition, it addresses, in a general way, the methodology of formulation, analysis and solution of engineering problems, technical communication (oral and written); and ethics as the basis for practicing the profession.
