FOUNDATIONS OF COMPUTER ELECTRONICS

Catalog description

In this course the theoretical knowledge of digital logic is acquired such as: concepts of numerical systems and codes, electronics of integrated circuits, signals and switches, logic modules, Boolean Algebra, combinatorial logic circuits and related devices. The electronic behavior of code converters, multiplexers and demultiplexers will be explained. Digital circuits that are used in computers, communications systems, and medical equipment will be analyzed. Technological and design competencies will be de veloped that are required for professionals using this technology. EETE 223L LABORATORY OF FOUNDATIONS OF COMPUTER ELECTRONICS 1 CREDIT In this laboratory, the student will experience, and address demonstrations related to the basic concepts of digital electronics, signals and switches, logic modules and Boolean algebra, combinational logic, circuits and related devices, digital circuits, and communication systems.
