Catalog description

The course focuses on assessment as the basis for individualized instructional design. Students will work with a variety of formal and informal assessment instruments. Adaptation of assessment instruments and procedures to provide for the needs of children with disabilities will be studied. Individualized instructional design based on identified strengths and needs, will be discussed. The integration of acad emic, clinical, and family goals into the curriculum will be emphasized. Students will be exposed to different curricular alternatives and will gain skills that will enable them to analyze and propose curricular changes based on their students’ needs.
