This course is designed to provide the students an overview of the field of Periodontics at the predoctoral level. It discusses the morphology, physiology, and pathology of periodontal tissues. In addition, it provides information on the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of periodontal diseases. Students conduct literature searches and conduct case presentations in groups.
